Rain Rain, Go Away

Since moving to Oregon we’ve had far more snow days than rain days here in our little town. I ran into town for some errands this day and while my daughter slept I drove around and took some photos.

Although we’ve been here for a year now, I tend to mostly drive on or around the main road. It was a nice change to explore some of the neighborhoods more.

I’ve driven past this tree every time I go into town, but the recent instance of the fence starting to break down over this last winter left me wanting to make an image. The fog here is really like nowhere else I’ve ever lived.

One of those odd intersections where everything doesn’t quite line up, but it makes for an interesting image..

One of the more interesting patina’s that I’ve seen since I began photographing these old cars and trucks. I personally like how against the wet street that the pollen from the tree stands out.

As seen in 197-2022.

Just down the street from the one above and just as interesting. When making images I love to see the little elements like front wheel on blocks and how that tweaks the perspective of the whole “subject”.

If you’ve ever seen the original movie version of a “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” that’s all I can think of when I see this image in my catalog.

One day I’ll do a small series of cars under covers. Harder for myself to make look visually appealing than the standard older car or truck, but I really like when it works.

A beautiful mint green truck accented with this nice blooming cherry blossom.

My favorite color of these older f250’s.

I like both of these images for different reasons.

Circa 1970.

This is my favorite image from this little drive around town and I love the pink chairs accented in the background.
